Customs arrest two, recovers diamonds, electronic items

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Pakistan Customs authorities Wednesday arrested two passengers after recovery of diamonds and other valuables from Karachi airport.

According to spokesman for Customs, the Customs staff at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi intercepted a passenger Zahid Khalil and recovered hundreds of precious diamonds weighing 136 carats, a Rolex watch and other electronic items valuing around Rs.

Upon indication of arrested accused, his financier, traveling in the same flight, was also arrested. Both were traveling from Dubai to Karachi.

A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
