Customs Seize Smuggled Items Worth Rs 24.9m In Dec 2016

MULTAN, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : Customs Multan had seized smuggled items worth Rs 24.9 million in different raids in Multan and surrounding districts during December 2016.
Collector Customs Multan Sarfraz Waraich told APP that items seized during raids included LEDs, medicines, vehicles of different brands, black pepper, mobil oil, cigarettes and other items.
He said that special steps were being taken at Head Taunsa, Sadiqabad and Dera Ghazi Khan areas to check smuggling of vehicles and added that frequent raids being conducted by customs teams have greatly reduced the vehicles' smuggling.
