
Cyber Crime Bill Passed By Parliament Not Govt: Anusha

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th july, 2016) : Minister of State for Information Technology (IT) Anusha Rahman has said the Cyber Crime bill was unanimously passed by the Parliament not government. Cyber Crime bill had discussed in the parliament and public hearings and it would yield desire results in elimination of Cyber crime from the country, she said talking to a private news channel.
The minister said Parliamentarians had made several amendments in the bill as it was their right adding there was always space of improvement in anything.
According to United Nation (UN) report, some 75 percent women were being harassed on internet, she added. Anusha thanked parliamentarians and other national institutions worked on this bill. She said "I am attached with Cyber Crime bill since seven years and played a role of mediator in this regard."
