Dacoit Gang Busted, 4 Arrested In Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2019 ) :Saddar Baroni Police have busted a dacoit gang identified as Tamoor alias Tira gang and nabbed its four members allegedly involved in dacoities, murder and car theft cases.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Division Rai Mazhar Iqbal said a police team under the supervision of Station House Officer Saddar Baroni Police Station, Nisar Jamal was constituted to ensure arrest of criminals involved in various dacoities, murder and cash-snatching incidents in different areas including Adiala Road, Gulshanabad, Chakri Road and other areas of the district.

The police team after hectic efforts succeeded in arresting the dacoits namely Tamoor Akram son of Muhammad Akram, r/o Sargodha, Ibrahim Khan s/o Khalid Khan r/o Peshawar, Ali Inam alias Mani s/o Nosher r/o Chechawatni and Azam Khan s/o Razi Khan r/o Rawalpindi.

He informed, police also recovered five mobile phones, five stolen motorcycles and a car, four 30 bore pistols with 16 rounds and cash Rs400,000 from their possession which was looted from the citizens.

During preliminary investigation, they confessed 12 crimes committed in different areas, the SP said.

These dacoits have already remained jailbirds and also used to snatch cash from people, he said adding Police have registered a case against them while further investigation is underway.
