DC Inspects Hospital

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Jappa reminded government hospitals' management

and staff of the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasizing swift response and best healthcare facilities to patients.

During a surprise inspection of the district headquarters hospital (DHQ) early in the morning on Sunday, the DC found two doctors absent from the night shift. DC Jappa expressed dissatisfaction with the explanations provided and immediately summoned the Medical Superintendent to his office for a detailed inquiry. “Ensuring the provision of quality healthcare to the people of Muzaffargarh is a key component of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s mission,” Jappa stated during his visit.

During the unannounced visit, DC Jappa personally checked the hospital's attendance register, the stock of essential medicines, and the presence of on-duty staff.

He directed the hospital administration to ensure uninterrupted provision of free medicines and maintain strict discipline among staff. “Any negligence in patient care will not be tolerated,” he emphasized.

Later in the morning, the DC visited the local fruit and vegetable market in response to public complaints regarding overpricing and quality issues. He interacted directly with buyers to understand their concerns about pricing irregularities and product standards.

He thoroughly reviewed the auction procedures, sanitation conditions, and the overall price control mechanism in the market. He issued directives to improve transparency and cleanliness in the market operations and warned vendors against exploiting consumers.
