DC Panjgur Martyred In Mastung Firing Incident

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Aug, 2024) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Panjgur Zakir Baloch was gunned down by unknown armed men on National Highway near Khada-Kucha area of Mastung District on Monday.

According to Levies sources, DC Panjgur Zakir Jan Baloch along with District Chairman Malik Jan and his friend Ahmed Jan were on way to Quetta from Panjgur in a vehicle when armed assailants opened fire at them near Kand Umrani area and fled away from the scene.

As a result, the DC along with Malik Jan and Ahmed Jan sustained injuries on the spot.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospital where the DC succumbed to his injuries during initial treatment process.

The both injured were referred to Quetta Civil Hospital’s trauma center for further treatment after initial medical aid.

Levies force cordoned off the entire area and started investigation into the incident.
