DC visits District Jail

FAISALABAD, Jan 6 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Jan, 2017 ) : Deputy Commissioner, Salman Ghani on Friday visited the district Jail to check the security arrangements and other matters. He went to different barracks and interacted with the prisoners.

He also visited jail hospital and reviewed the medical facilities being provided to the ailing prisoners. He directed the hospital staff to carry out screening of prisoners to avoid any epidemic disease.

He said that visits of senior doctors would be ensured in the jail hospital for medical check of the prisoners. The DC also went to jail kitchen and observed the cooking and quality of the food.

He took a round of the barrack of female prisoners and reviewed the vocational training programme started for the women inmates. He also went to computer training center and Quranic teaching classes.

He appreciated the reformation programme for the welfare of jail inmates. Earlier, the DC check the search and screening process for baggage of the prisoners and went to waiting hall for inspection of facilities being provided to relative of the prisoners.

He observed the security system minutely in the control room and checked the monitoring process. He expressed his satisfaction on over all security and cleanliness condition in the jail and felt pleasure over the best administrative arrangement in the jail by following the jail manual.

He directed for up gradation of the monitoring system and said there was a room for improvement of the security system and district administration would extend all out support for enhancing the security measures.

The DC also inaugurated the newly constructed reception room for the jail visitors. Jail Superintendent Rana Razaullah Khan informed the DC about the security arrangements and measures had been taken for the welfare of the jail inmates.
