DG Khan Zoo Earned Rs 444,100 During Eidul Fitr Days

Over 48,000 people visited mini zoo in Dera Ghazi Khan during last three days of Eidul Fitr, yielding revenue worth Rs 444,100, officials said on Tuesday.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :Over 48,000 people visited mini zoo in Dera Ghazi Khan during last three days of Eidul Fitr, yielding revenue worth Rs 444,100, officials said on Tuesday.
Divisional Wildlife officer Sajjad Hussain told APP that exactly 48,491 people mostly children and women visited the mini zoo in the city adding that higher number of visitors can be attributed to improvements made in the zoo and the new arrival of a lioness that completed the pair and ended the loneliness of a single lion there.
He said that the department was also planning to get a couple of zebras from higher authorities for DG Khan zoo to make it more attractive.
He said that people used to visit parks including zoological parks on Eid days to spend some quality time and particularly for amusement of their kids.
He disclosed that some 45000 visitors visited Fatehpur park in Layyah district during three days of Eid where entry of thepeople was ticket-less.
