Dhanak Health Care Clinic Organizes Workshop On Health Services

ISLAMABAD, Jan 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : Dhanak Health Care Clinics has organized a 2-day consultative workshop and training on communication skills and linkages development among different stakeholders for the integrated health services.

The workshop was attended by senior officials of the Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where as 25 District Health Officer and senior directors from the health department also participated in the event.

As many as 1,100 Dhanak Health Care Centers were set up across the country in hard to reach areas including districts Swat, Malakand, Haripur to provide basic health care facilities to women and children.

These centers are run by community midwives who are trained women from the areas in which the centers are set up in order to provide health care facilities. The midwives, trained in child birth procedures, not only provide information regarding family planning to the women and families but also give counseling to them.
