Different Sports Activities Of 52nd Mango Festival Held

MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2017 ) : In connection with 52nd Mango Festival different sports activities were held here on Wednesday. According to details, traditional Sindhi wrestling Malakhra matches were held in Fruit Farm.
The chief guest of the programme was Chairman District Council Mirpurkhas Mir Anwar Talpur. The first position was achieved by Yar Muhammad Marri's pair, second by Gul Muhammad Mahar's pair while third position was won by Mashooq Khoso's pair.
The first three position holder pairs were presented trophies with Rs. 8000/-, Rs. 5000/- and Rs. 3000/- cash respectively. The matches of Kabbadi were also held in which the chief guest was District Sports Officer Arshad Arain.
The team Panwhar Eleven won the Kabbadi match by defeating Hussain Kori Eleven by one point. Both the winner and runner up teams were presented trophies and Rs. 4000/- each. A basket ball match between Mirpurkhas Green and Mirpurkhas Blue was also held which was won by the Mirpurkhas Green.
A 30 km cycling race was also held in which players from Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mirpurkhas participated. The first position of the race was grabbed by Asadullah of Mirpurkhas, second by Sajid Ali of Karachi and third by Zakir Hussain of Hyderabad. Similarly the matches of Taekwondo and wrestling were also held in Gama Stadium.
