Directive For Increasing Number Of Price Control Magistrates

Chief Secretary Punjab Yousaf Naseem Khokhar Thursday directed the authorities concerned to increase the number of price control magistrates in the province
While presiding over a meeting on price control at his office, he reviewed measures for monitoring prices of daily-use items and the arrangements made for Ramazan bazaars.
He directed the authorities concerned to ensure strict check on quality of goods and demand and supply situation during the holy month of Ramazan.
The chief secretary said that under the Punjab government's Raamzan package, flour, sugar, pulses and vegetables would be available on subsidized rates.
The meeting was briefed that 968 price control magistrates had been deputed to check prices in the province. Secretary food, Secretary Implementation and Coordination, Commissioner Lahore division, Deputy Commissioner Lahore and officers concerned attended the meeting.
