Dist Admin To Observe “Kashmir Exploitation Day”

DERA GHAZI KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) District administration has finalized plan to observe “Kashmir Exploitation Day” on August 05 to register protest against India’s illegal step of revoking special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) in 2019.

As per directives of the provincial government, district administration would organize a rally from deputy commissioner complex to Tehsil Chowk at 9:30 am in which the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mehr Shahid Zaman and other senior officers would participate. In this regard, seminars would also be organized at Auditorium Hall DG Khan Arts Council and government boys high school to mark the day.

DC Mehr Shahid Zaman said that the “Kashmir Exploitation Day” was being observed every year on August 05 to condemn India’s illegal steps of revoking Article 370 of ending special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that nation stands by the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). He said that the basic purpose of observing Kashmir Exploitation Day was to register protest against India of this illegal act.

He said that the district administration would display penaflex, boards and banners at every intersection of the district while documentaries would also be played through big screens installed at different points of the city to highlight India’s brutality on Kashmiris.
