District Administration Extend Full Cooperation To Election Commission Of Pakistan Officials: Commissioner SBA

Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division Ghulam Mustafa Phull has directed revenue officials to extend full cooperation to electoral officials nominated by Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP)

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2018 ) :Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division Ghulam Mustafa Phull has directed revenue officials to extend full cooperation to electoral officials nominated by Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP).

Presiding a meeting on Thursday to chalk out arrangements for general election 2018 he noted that arrangements for holding of peaceful and transparent election is an important responsibility of administration for which full-fledged steps would be adopted.

The commissioner instructed deputy commissioners of Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar and Naushehro Feroze districts to fully cooperate with District Returning Officers (DRO) and other official nominated by Election Commission of Pakistan.

Regional Election Commissioner Nadeem Hyder in his briefing informed that elections on 7 Constituencies of National and 14 of Provincial assembly would be held in Saheed Benazirabad division for which ECP has appointed DRO's and Returning Officers RO's.

He said that under the delimitation following the recent population Census, Shaheed Benazirabad and Naushahro Feroze districts would have two seats each of National Assembly and four seats each of Provincial assembly while District Sanghar would have three seats of National and six seats of Provincial assembly.

Such officers would visit Polling Stations and perform election duty for which transport would be provided by District administration while ECP would arrange budget under the head of petrol and other expenses.

He said that all arrangements including facilities at polling stations, training of polling staff and others were being finalized. Deputy Commissioners of Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar and Naushehro Feroze also apprised the meeting about arrangement being made in their respective districts.
