District Health Officer (DHO), Khurshid Alam visited basic health units of the district and inspected service delivery to masses here on Thursday.

ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Nov, 2018 ) :District Health Officer (DHO), Khurshid Alam visited basic health units of the district and inspected service delivery to masses here on Thursday.

He also listened to problems being faced by masses and said the Gilgit-Baltistan government was taking concrete measures for ensuring best possible healthcare facilities in the district.

Talking to media persons, the DHO dismissed rumors about shortage of medicines and said there was no shortage of medicines in the district, adding all the dispensaries had been provided enough stock of medicines.

He said that a request has also been forwarded to secretary health for provision of more medicines to health facilities of the district from Gilgit.

He said all the doctors in DHQ hospital were performing their duties properly adding strict action would be taken against the derelict staffer as the administration was determined to make no comprise on health related issues, he informed.

He said the administration was struggling hard to provide best available health facilities to the area people and will utilize best available resources in this regard.

He said he was regularly visiting the basic health units of the district to monitor service delivery and learn about feedback about the initiatives taken by the government in health sector.
