Double murder convict executed at Multan prison

A double murder convict was executed in new central jail Multan early Thursday morning.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2018 ) -:A double murder convict was executed in new central jail Multan early Thursday morning.

According to jail officials, Muhammad Safdar s/o Khuda Bakhsh had killed two persons over a matrimonial issue in 2004 in Mian Channu and a case was registered against him.

An Additional District and Sessions Judge Mian Channu had sentenced him to death on two counts on Jan 31,2007.

After rejection of his appeal by superior courts, the President of Pakistan had also turned down his mercy petition on Nov 23, 2018. His death warrants were issued on Dec 6,2018.

Jail officials handed over the body to the legal heirs.
