DPO Abbottabad Bans Public Gathering, Display Of Arms During LG Bye-polls

District Police Officer (DPO) Abbass Majeed Khan Marwat on Wednesday imposed ban on public gatherings, display of arms, permission corner meeting without permission and display of arms across the district during local government by-elections.
The ban was imposed to maintain law and order during the local government bye-elections in the district scheduled to be held on December 23.
It is further elaborated that rallies, public gathering in favour of winning candidates, hate speeches, display of weapons, entry of male in the female polling stations, use of mobile phone inside polling stations and entry of people of other union councils within the areas of 500 meters around polling stations would also be banned.
The violators of the ban would be dealt under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017 sections 107,108(1). The ban would remain intact on December 23 and 24.
