DPO Abbottabad Directs Improvement In Vehicles Verification System

District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Abbass Majeed Khan Marwat on Monday directed improvement in Vehicle Verification System (VVS) and Criminal Record Verification System (CRVS) in order to provide justice to the people
He also ordered to start a massive crackdown against the criminals, drug traffickers and fugitives.
The DPO reviewed Faryal murder case investigation progress and issued special directive for the resolve of the issue.
He said this while chairing the monthly crime meeting of Abbottabad police.
The district Police Officer ordered to the SDPOs to strictly monitor the movement of the Afghan refugees, for the security audit of the sensitive places of the district including the banks, CNG stations, petrol Pumps, Money Changers, Jewelry Shops and other business centers and must conduct weekly Mock exercise,he said.
Abbass Majeed Khan also directed to take measures for the facilitation of the tourists in the district.
The DPO also reviewed the monthly performance report of September which disclosed that district Abbottabad police seized 40.733-kilogram Hashish, 2.743-kilogram Heroin, 20 grams Ice and 33 bottle liquor.
It was further informed that while taking action against illegal weapons Abbottabad police also seized 71 pistols, 63 guns, 26 rifles and 01 Kalashnikov, 699 bullets of different calibers.
During the month of April police also arrested 53 criminals, Abbottabad police also busted a motorcycle lifter group and recovered 15 motorcycles.
In the meeting, it was disclosed that police checked 3937 vehicles by using state of the art software Vehicle Verification System (VVS) and also checked 33360 people through Criminal Record Verification System (CRVS).
