Dr. Shagufta Removed Over Complaints

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) Medical Superintendent of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Bhawana Dr. Shagufta Zahoor has been removed from her post over complaints of non-provision of free medicines to patients and general mismanagement.

Deputy Commissioner Chiniot Safiullah Gondal yesterday conducted a detailed visit to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Bhawana for more than an hour and a half and inspected the records. Additional Principal Woman Medical Officer MSTHQ Bhawana was removed from his post after the SMU report, complaints of patients and their relatives about taking medicines from outside and general mismanagement were proven to be correct.

Deputy DEO Health Dr. Sohaib Shabbir has been assigned the additional charge of Medical Superintendent THQ Bhawana, while Dr. Shagufta Zahoor will be able to continue working as Additional Principal Woman Medical Officer.

The Deputy Commissioner said in two words that according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, health facilities should be provided to patients in government hospitals. There will be no compromise in the delivery of services. Those who do not perform have no right to remain in office.
