
Dr Tariq Inaugurates Sanitation, Cleanliness Drive At PIMS

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Monday inaugurated sanitation and cleanliness drive here at Pakistan Institute of medical Sciences (PIMS). The staff of Capital Development Authority (CDA) will help the hospital staff in the cleanliness drive as per the directive of the minister. Dr Tariq on the occasion visited the hospital to examine the sanitation situation and directed both the departments to collaborate in cleaning the hospital. Later talking to journalists, the minister said directives had been issued to make the medical and surgical wards as model ones in the first phase.
All the medical equipment, beds, building and other facilities would be improved as per international standard, he added. He said all other sections of the hospital would be improved phase wise.
He urged the well-off people to come forward and help improve facilities at the PIMS. He said some 10,000 patients daily visited the PIMS for treatment. The hospital needed modernization and the ministry would provide full support in this regard, he added. During meeting with the hospital administration, the minister approved increase in the number of technical staff for operating medical equipment and their training.
