Dr Yasmeen Orders Operation Against Illegal Business Of Human Organs

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2019 ) :Provincial Minister for Health Dr Yasmeen Rashid Tuesday ordered to initiate operation against illegal business of sale and purchase of human organs across the province.
She was presiding over a meeting of Punjab Human Organs Transplantation Authority (PHOTA) at Specialized Healthcare and Medical education office here.
She said that 100 per cent transparency and merit would be ensured in the new recruitment. She informed that legislation were being carried out against those who were involved in heinous act of sale and purchase of human organs.
Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Captain (R) Saqib Zafer, Director General Dr Faisal Masood, officers including Mian Zahid Rahman, Salman Shahid and other concerned officers were present .
Matters regarding performance of PHOTA, sub office of authority in Rawalpindi, PHOTA act, new posts and other administrative affairs came under discussion during the meeting.
DG Punjab PHOTA Dr Faisal Masood gave a detailed briefing of the overall performance of the institute.
