DRC's Role Appreciated In Resolving Local Disputes

BANNU, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2019 ) :Deputy Chairman Dispute Resolution Council (DRC), Sahibzada Shohabuddin on Friday appreciating the council's role said these forums were effectively providing relief to the citizens.
He expressed these views during his visit to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ), to inquire after health of persons who got injured in a firing incident over electricity issue.
He expressed dismay over the incident and underlined the need for the reconciliation committee and elders of the area to play role in resolving issues at local level.
The DRC which served as an organised forum of Pakhtun culture had proved their worth by successfully resolving local disputes and dispensed justice speedily to parties, he remarked.
These forums had relieved the overburdened judicial system and police stations, the officer added.
He was of the view that since poverty, illiteracy and above all delay in speedy justice caused different challenges for a society.
He urged the members to continue with same hard work and dedication to ensure peace, brotherhood and peaceful co-existence by resolving disputes at local level.
