'Dubai Kashmir Conference Need No Certification'

The participants of recently held Kashmir Conference in Dubai categorically denied the reports published in a section of the newspaper which accused the participants from Kashmir of accepting Indian stance on the issue.

In a joint statement issued here on Thursday the participants of the Dubai Kashmir symposium including Shah Ghulam Qadir, Speaker Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League (N) AJK Ch Lateef Akber, President Pakistan Peoples Party AJK, Sardar Sagheer Ahmed Chughtai Member AJK Legislative Assembly and central leader of Muslim Conference Abdul Rasheed Turabi, ex Amir AJK Jamaat e Islami and member Legislative Assembly Faiz Ahmed Naqshbandi Convenor All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Sardar Amjad Yousaf Executive Director Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR) and Ershad Mahmud Convener Kashmir Initiative Group (KIG) said the delegates of Dubai meeting had declared Kashmir a political issue, which needed to be settled.
"The participants were unanimous that settlement of Kashmir issue was possible only through dialogue", they said. They made it clear in the joint statement that no joint communique of the conference was released on conclusion of the moot, which was being made the base and source for issuing statements of criticism without any justification.
