Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th March, 2019) During the stints of convicted ex Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif his allies also committed mega corruptions by neglecting the merit in hiring 4034 employees in 9 companies of Ministry of Water and Power.Khawaja Asif inducted 116 party workers on seats reserved for minorities in Gujranwala Power Supply Company.Abid Sher Ali inducted 1615 party workers in Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO).Likewise in Multan Electric Supply Company1228 employees inducted, 118 in Lahore, 135 in Haiderabad, 68 in Peshawar.According to the documents of Ministry of Water and Power, Nawaz government given job to non Balochs on Balochistan quota, which was against the spirit of "Aghaz e Huqooq e Balochistan".Official documents also revealed that bypassing all the procedures and rules, jobs given to party workers, in Nawaz era 135 party workers hired on daily wages and later were given the status of permanent employee, given a loss of Rs900m to national exchequer.The Federal Ombudsman on Wednesday ordered the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to complete development work in Sector I-12 and allot plots to the allotees within two years.The direction came in the decision on an application against delay in allotment of plots to allotees.A complete report regarding going on development work inI-12 will be submitted in the Federal Ombudsman on monthly basis.
Earlier, Fahad Hameed, Muhammad Shahid, Muhammad Imran, Nimra Yaqoob, Farhan Tanveer and Hamza Khan had informed the Federal Ombudsman, in their application, that the CDA didn't develop the said sector despite charging amount of plots from them.They mentioned in their applications that they had complained to CDA chairman and other officials concerned repeatedly but no one took notice of their complaints.
They said the development authority had collected billions of rupees but failed to develop the sector yet.Taking strict notice of the issue, the Ombudsman conducted three consecutive hearing of the case and summoned CDA officials with details.
The CDA officials informed the Federal Ombudsman Court that the authority has acquired entire land and development work will soon be started.Federal Ombudsman Senior Advisor Abdul Khaliq issued ordered.
He said it's been eight years now but still poor people wondering for plots and CDA has no concern with their problems. Khaliq directed the CDA officials to complete development work in the sector within two years and also submit a monthly report in the Federal Ombudsman so that complete assessment of the CDA work can be made.
