Durrani For Drastic Changes In Institutions To Achieve Speedy Progress

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Iftikhar Durrani on Tuesday underlined the need for drastic changes in the national institutions and organizations.
Streamlining the system in the institutions was need of the hour, he stated while talking to a private news channel.
Commenting on irregularities being reported in different organizations, he said an inquiry had been conducted to identify the responsible elements involved in mismanagement of new airport project.
The present government had set a plan of 100 days, he said adding the plan had been put on the website.
He said the PTI government believed in delivery and performance.
Durrani said no one was above the law and everyone would have to go for accountability.
To a question about by election results, he said that PTI had emerged as a single largest political party after winning the elections. He was of the view that professional and competent persons would be appointed in all the institutions to achieve the objectives.
He said all the institutions would work without political interference and added that the PTI government would focus on depoliticizing the national institutions.
