Each UC Chairman To Be Given Rs 10 Mln

SARGODHA, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : MNA Dr Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti has said that PML-N led government is taking practical steps to empower the representatives of local bodies institutions.

Addressing a ceremony to welcome Union Councils (UC) chairmen of NA-67 on Wednesday,he said that Punjab government will deliver funds of Rs 10 million to the chairman of each union council for soling and drainage schemes in their respective areas.

Bhatti said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif tenders worth Rs 250 million have been released for the construction of link roads for the Constituencies NA-67 and PP-36, adding that work on the provision of Sui Gas will be completed before June 2017.

MPA Rana Munawar Ghous on the occasion said that PML-N government believed in facilitating the people. UC Chairmen Rabnawaz Katchela, Aamir Nisuana, Sikandar Ranjha, Malik Ahamd Nawaz and Parveen also addressed the ceremony. APP/mab/swf/anm
