An earthquake of low intensity jolted various districts of Balochistan on Saturday resulting in minor property damages, but no causality was reported so far.

QUETTA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 16th March, 2019) An earthquake of low intensity jolted various districts of Balochistan on Saturday resulting in minor property damages, but no causality was reported so far.According to geological wing of PMD, tremours measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale were felt in Quetta, Sibi, and other districts of Balochistan.

People of the areas where the quake was felt rushed out of their homes, shops and other buildings while reciting prayers.The quake caused minor damages to some dilapidated houses and buildings in some districts.

However, no human losses or injuries were reported from anywhere.The epi-centre was of the quake was stated to be 43 kilometer South-West of Sibi deep inside the earth crust. NNI
