ECP Directs MPs To Submit Assets Details By September 30

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -27th Sep,2016) : The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday directed the parliamentarians to submit details of annual statement of assets and liabilities of their own, spouses and dependents for the year 2015-16 by September 30.
According to the spokesman of ECP, this is a mandatory requirement under Section 42A of the Representation of the People Act 1976 and Section 25A of the Senate (Elections) Act 1975. Members of the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Paktunkkwa and Balochistan are required to submit the assets information to the Election Commission Secretariat, he added.
According to him, the Statements of Assets and Liabilities submitted under sub-section (1) shall be published in the official Gazette and copies thereof may be obtained on payment of prescribed fee.
The Commission shall, by the fifteenth day of October each year, notify the Names of the members who fail to file Statements of Assets & Liabilities within the period specified in sub-section (1) and by an order, direct that such member shall cease to function till such statement is submitted, he informed.
Spokesman said "Where a member submits the Statements of Assets and Liabilities under sub-section (1) which is found to be false in material particulars, he may be proceeded against under Section 82 for committing the offence of corrupts practice".
Theprescribed forms are available, free of cost, from the Election Commission Secretariat, Islamabad and offices of Provincial Election Commissioners in each Province. The detail/number of Parliamentarians and Members of Provincial Assemblies, who have submitted their statements of accounts and liabilities,including the members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who have submitted statements of assents and liabilities included Shah Farman, Tufail Anjum, Babar Khan, Malik Qasim Khan Khattak,Haji Qalandar Khan Lodhi,Sardar Aurangzeb Nalotha, Raja Faisal Zaman.
Akbar Ayub Khan Gohar Nawaz Khan, Faisal Zaman. Ali amin Khan, Ikram Ullah Khan Gandapur, Ehtesham Javed Akbar Khan, Azam Khan Durrani, Munawar Khan Advocate,Habib ur Rahman,Maulana Mufti Fazal Ghafoor,Fazal Hakim, Amjad Ali,Muhibullah Khan,Mahmood Khan, Inayatullah,Sahibzada Sanaullah,Muzafar Said, Saeed Gul, Shakeel Ahmed, Meher Taj Roghani, Aisha Naeem, Maliha Tanveer,Zareen Riaz, Nargas, Nagina Khan, Uzma Khan, Najma Shaheen, Ruqia Hina, Yasmeen Pir Muhammad Khan and Askar Pervaiz.
The members of Balochistan Assembly who have submitted their statements of assets and liabilities including Sardar Ghulam Mustaga Khan Tareen, Dr Hamid Khan Achakzai Abdul Majeed Khan,Sardar Dur Muhammad Nasar, Maazullah Musakhel,Sardar Abdul Rahman Khaitran, Mufti Khalab Khan, Mulana Abdul Wasay, Nawabzada Jangez Khan Marri, Rahat Jamali, Nawabzada Tariq Magsi,Amanullah Mir Abdul Qudoos Bezinjo, Rehmat Ali, Mohammad Saleh Bhootani,Abdul Kareem Nosherwani,Ms Arfa Sadiq,Masooma Hayat, Santosh Kumar, Willaim Jan Barkat and Ghansham.
Sindh MPA's who have filed statements of assets and liabiliteis todate including Jam Mehtab Hussein Dahar Ali Nawaz Khan Mahar, Ahmed ALi Khan Pitafi,Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar,Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, Mir Hazar Khan Mijarani,Zia ul Hassan, Saleem Raza Jalbani, Bahadur Khan Dahri, Muhammad ERashid Shah, Manzoor Hussein Wassan, Mir Nadir Ali Khan Magsi, Nawab Ghaibi Sardar Khan Chandio, Makhdoom Jamil Zaman, Makhdoom Rafique Zaman, Zubair Ahmed Khan, Syed Ajaz Hussein Shah Bukhari, Dr Sikander Mandhro, Mir Mohammad Hayat Khan Taplur, Syed Sardar Ali Shah,Syed Ali Mardan Shah,Abdul Aziz Junejo,Saeed Khan Nizamani,Shahid Abdul Salam Taheem, Abdul Haseeb, Mazahair Ameer Khan, Waseem Qureshi, Jamal Ahmed, Syed Anwer ZaRaza Naqvi, Muhammad Azeem Farooqi, Nishat Muhammad Zia Qadri, Syed Kahlid Ahmed , Sheeraz Waheed, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Waqar Hussein Shah, Shafi Muhammad Jamote, Syeda Shehla Raza, Sharmila sahebah Farooqi, Iram Khalid, Ms Shamim Mumtaz, Ms Rubina Saadat Qaimkhani, Heer Soho, Aisha Khatoon, Naheed Begum, Shazia Jawaid, Naila Munir.
Dr Seema Zia and Dewan Chand Chawla. The list also contains names of Punjab Assembly members, Senators and MNAs who have submitted their statement of assets and liabilities to date.
