ECP Gears Up Efforts To Register Voters In Bajaur

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has speed up its efforts to register maximum number of voters in the agency for the upcoming general and announced to register maximum new voters in Bajaur Agency
BAJAUR AGENCY, Sept.14 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2017 ) : Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has speed up its efforts to register maximum number of voters in the agency for the upcoming general and announced to register maximum new voters in Bajaur Agency Talking to APP here on Thursday, Agency Election Officer Falak Naz said that a total of 93,844 new voters had been registered in the electoral rolls of two National Assembly Constituencies NA 43 and NA 44 after 2013 general election.
He told that the ECP was making all out efforts to register all the residents of agency both male and female as voters for the 2018 general election. He informed that total number of registered voters for NA 43 is 205,733 among which 120,163 were male voters while 85,570 female voters.
Likewise, he said that the total number of registered voters for NA 44 was 2, 29072 including 138,366 male and 90,706 female. He told that the District Voters education Committee (DEVC) had already been setup to register new voters across the agency.
He urged people to help ECP in registration of eligible voters before the next general election. To a question, Mr. Naz informed that trend of women registration among the local community had witnessed significant upward trend especially urban areas during recent registration drive. APP/anw-mds/rnr
