Efforts Urged To Control Diabetes

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Nov, 2017 ) :In connection with World Diabetes Day, a seminar Wednesday was held here at Benazir Bhutto hospital (BBH). Speaking on the occasion,Head of Cardiology department of BBH Dr Mehdi Hasan Raja said that regular exercise, a healthy diet and weight control was necessary to control and prevent diabetes.
Hasan said people should not sit for hours while working at their offices, and should walk regularly. He said a healthy lifestyle was important to control and prevent diabetes. Dr Mehdi said wide-ranging effort was urgently needed to prevent millions of new infections and increasing deaths because of it.
He said the media's role was important in this regard, through which people could be apprised about the disease and preventive measures for protection from the disease.
