Eid Miladun Nabi celebrated across KP with renewed pledge to revive Ummah's unity

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2018 ) :Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW), the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was celebrated with religious enthusiasm in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and the merged tribal districts amid tight security arrangements on Wednesday.

The day dawned with special pray after Namaz-e-Fajar in the mosques and a salute with 21 guns was presented to mark the celebrations.

The celebrations were held in all the district headquarters and recently merged tribal districts of the province including Peshawar, Mardan,Kohat, Nowshera, Mansehra, DIKHan, Skardu, GB, Muzzaffarabad, Bannu, Karak, DIKhan, Swat, Chitral, Dir upper and lower, Swabi, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Khyber, Bajaur, Mohmand, Waziristan, Kurram and Aurakzai.

The functions were arranged by the respective administrations and social organizations which were largely participated by the students, government officials, officers and people from all walks of life.

Over three dozens of Eid Miladun Nabi processions were taken out by the faithful in the province to celebrate the birth of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had declared public holiday on Nov 21 (Wednesday) in connection with 12 Rabiul Awal celebrations.

In Peshawar, the main procession were taken out from Milad Chowk Rampura Gate under aegis of Idara Tableeg e islam led by Syed Asad Ali Shah wherein people from all walk of life including religious scholars paid glowing tributes to the matchless services of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) for the mankind. Another major function was held at Milad House Gul Bahar Peshawar city organized by Syed Inayat Ali Shah where people offered Naat and Darood Sharif to express their immeasurable love with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The residents of Peshawar illuminated their houses, bungalows, bazaars, markets, mosques and offices with colorful buntings, lights and green flags to show their immeasurable love with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on occasion of 12th Rabi ul Awwal. Large banners and gigantic billboards were displayed across the Peshawar by people, faithful and religious scholars in connection with Eid Milad unNabi (SAW) celebrations .

The government, semi govt organizations, educational institutes, social and religious organizations had planned special programs and other activities to mark the day in befitting manner.

The owners of buses, trucks, taxis , and motorcycles have decorated their vehicles artistically to pay great homage to Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The Ulema and religious scholars in their speeches at various Eid Milad functions held in, towns and cities educated the people about teaching of the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and highlighted His matchless services for humanity.

The speakers said the Holy Prophet (SAW) was a model of blessing and affection therefore, he was known as Rehmatullil Aalameen and benefactor of the mankind. They called upon the people to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW). The people should not forget helping the poor, widows and orphans during Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations.

They called upon the Muslims to renew their pledge to revive the Ummah's unity, integrity and solidarity. They prayed to Almighty to unite the Ummah in order to face the challenges posed to the Muslim world.

Naat Khawani, declamation contests in government and private schools were held across the province. A Naat competition in urdu and Pashto languages among students of Islamia College University was held under the aegis of Khyber Islamic Culture Society. The Urdu Naat competition was contested by 46 Naat Khwans while the Pashto Naat competition was held among 15 students.

Renowned Naat Khawan Arbab Zafrullah was the chief guest on this occasion while the event was presided over by Dr Hussain Farooq. Dr Abaseen Yousufzai was also present as the guest of honor. The Urdu Naat competition was won by Abid Iqbal, followed by Ataullah Shah second and Ammad Ali stood at third position. Abu Talha obtained first position in Pashto Naat completion while Fatima Shah and Zakirullah stood at second and third position respectively.

The vendors had established a number of stalls at every nook and corner of the province along processions routes in Peshawar and offered banners, badges, stickers and flags to people. The people distributedsweets besides gifts among relatives, poor and needy masses in connection withthe great day.
