Eid Miladun Un Nabi (SAW) Celebrations Underway In GB

GILGIT Nov21 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2018 ) :Like other parts of the country Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was being celebrated across Gilgit Baltistan on 12th Rabi ul-Awal with religious fervor and enthusiasm.

Mahafil-e-Milad and ceremonies have been organized by religious, social and academic organizations. Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) processions were taken out from various places of the GB.

The day dawned with special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country.

Houses, Markets, private and government buildings, mosques, shrines and places of worship illuminated and decorated with flags and buntings on the occasion.

Special dishes were prepared at homes and people distributed food among their neighbors, relatives and needy people. Religious scholars made speeches to highlight different aspects of the life of Prophet (PBUH).

In Gilgit a Seerat conferences was organized at district level, where religious scholars and intellectuals shed light on the life and teachings of Prophet (PBUH).

Naat (poetry written in praise of the Prophet) and Quran recitation competitions were also held.
