Eight Dead, 1,090 Injured In 968 Road Accidents

The Punjab Emergency Service (PES) or Rescue-1122, responded to 968 road accidents in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :The Punjab Emergency Service (PES) or Rescue-1122, responded to 968 road accidents in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

In these accidents, eight people were killed and over 1,090 were injured.

As many as 647 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals and 443 with minor injuries were discharged after provision of first-aid.

The statistics show that 246 accidents were reported in Lahore with 245 victims, 95 in Faisalabad with 113 injured and 68 in Gujranwala with 73 victims.

According to the data, 761 motorbikes, 132 auto-rickshaws, 104 motorcars, 54 vans, 14 passenger buses, 34 trucks and 108 other types of vehicles and slow-movingcarts were involved in these accidents.
