Eight Killed, 1,154 Injured In 1,050 Accidents In Punjab

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2019 ) :At least eight persons were killed and 1,154 sustained injuries in 1,050 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
A Rescue 1122 spokesman, in a statement here on Sunday, said 430 drivers, 27 juvenile drivers, 172 pedestrians and 560 passengers were among the victims of the accidents.
The statistics showed that 261 accidents were reported in Lahore which affected 254 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 109 in Faisalabad with 123 victims and Gujranwala at third with 64 accidents and 74 victims.
As many as 797 motorcycles, 120 rickshaws, 96 cars, 58 vans, 13 buses, 25 trucks and 119 other vehicles besides slow-moving carts were involved in the accidents.
