Election Commission Of Pakistan Announces Schedule For PK-30 Bye-election

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regional office on Friday announced the schedule for the PK-30 Balakot bye-elections which is to be conducted on 26th February 2019.
ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Dec, 2018 ) :The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regional office on Friday announced the schedule for the PK-30 Balakot bye-elections which is to be conducted on 26th February 2019.
According to the ECP schedule, polling will take place on 26th February 2019 while candidates may get the nomination papers during 29th December to 1st January 2019.
On From 7th January 2019 scrutiny of the candidates would be completed and candidates may submit their appeals against the Returning Officers decision on 11th January while the decision on the appeals would be issued on 15th January 2019.
On 17th January 2019 candidates can withdraw their nomination papers, on the same day finalized lists of the candidates would also be displayed and on 18th January ECP would allot the election symbols to the candidates.
On 26th February 2019, KP-30 bye-polls would be held from 8 am to 5 pm without any delay under strict security measures.
PK-30 Balakot was vacated after the disqualification of PML-N member KPK assembly Mian Zia Ur Rehman.
Syed Ahmed Shah would be expected candidate of the PTI while PML-N is yet not clear about the candidate.
