Election Commission Of Pakistan Arranges Function To Mark International Women's Day

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday arranged a function in connection with International Women's Day to create awareness on registration of women voters before start of election process.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2018 ) :Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday arranged a function in connection with International Women's Day to create awareness on registration of women voters before start of election process.

Addressing on the occasion, Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza urged for creating a conducive atmosphere for women in all fields of life so that they can work with full confidence.

He said that during its campaign, the ECP will try its level best to register every eligible woman as voter.

He asked all those women who have computerized national identity card to register themselves with the ECP by including their Names in voters' list.

Representatives of different political parties shared their views on strengthening of ECP's on-going campaign to register women voters in 103 districts of the country. They assured their full support to the ECP in registration of women voters throughout the country.

The ECP assured them that their suggestions will be practically implemented to ensure registration of all eligible women voters.
