Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday issued revised list of validly nominated candidates for Senate elections from federal capital and four provinces
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2021 ) :Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday issued revised list of validly nominated candidates for Senate elections from federal capital and four provinces.
According to an official of ECP, during February 22 to February 23, three appeals were filed for general seats which included one each from Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while all three appeals were rejected.
One appeal was filed from Sindh for seats reserved for Women which was rejected while 18 appeals were filed for seats reserved for Ulema and Technocrats out of which four were accepted while 14 were rejected.
The five validly nominated candidates from Federal capital included Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani (PPPP), Abdul Hafeez Sheikh (PTI), Tariq Fazal Chaudhry (PML-N), Syed Muhammad Ali Bukhari (PTI) and Fareed Rehman (PTI) for one General seat. Four Names on revised list for Women seat from federal capital included Farzana Kausar (PML-N), Farah Naz Akbar (PML-N), Muneera Javed Mirza (PTI) and Fauzia Arshad.
As per revised list of the validly nominated candidates from Punjab province on seven General seats included Kamil Ali Agha (PML-Q), Jamshed Iqbal Cheema (PTI), Muhammad Khan Madni (PTI), Muhammad Azeem-ul-Haq Minhas, (PPPP), Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar (PML-N), Saifullah Sarwar Khan Nyazee (PTI), Afnan Ullah Khan (PML-N), Saud Majeed (PML-N), Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar (PTI), Aon Abbas (PTI), Omar Sarfraz Cheema (PTI), Ejaz Hussain Minhas (PTI), Zahid Hamid (PML-N), Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry (PTI), Sajid Mir (PML-N), Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman (PML-N) and Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui (PML-N). For Women seats validly nominated candidates were Ms. Zarqa Suharwardy (PTI), Ms Saadia Abbasi (PML-N) and Ms Saira Tarar (PML-N) while two validly nominated candidates for Technocrat Seat were Azam Nazeer Tarar (PML-N) and Ayed Ali Zafar (PTI).
The validly nominated candidates from Sindh for seven General seats included Sadiq Ali Memon (PPPP), Saleem Mandviwalla (PPPP), Shaherbano Sherry Rehman (PPPP), Dost Ali Jeesar (PPPP), Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar (PPPP), Taj Haider (PPPP), Shahadat Awan (PPPP), Zafar Ahmed Khan Kamali (MQM-P), Syed Faisal Ali Sabzwari (MQM-P), Abdul Kadir Khanzada (MQM-P) and Muhammad Faisal Vewda (PTI). Nine validly nominated candidates for two Women seats in Sindh included Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan (PPPP), Rukhsana Parveen (PPPP), Khairunisa (PPPP), Khalida Ateeq (MQM-P), Sabheen Ghoury (MQM-P) Serina Adnan (PTI), Fizza Zishan (PTI), Erum Wahab Butt (PTI) and Farzana Hanif (PPPP). Validly candidates for Technocrats in Sindh including Ulema were Farooq Hamid Naek (PPPP), Shahadat Awan (PPPP), Dr Karim Ahmed Khawaja (PPPP), Dr Shahab Imam (MQM-P), Hunaid Hassan Lakhani (PTI), Mohammad Hassain Bakshi (PTI), Yasha Ullah Khan Afghan and Samar Ali Khan (PTI).
The validly nominated candidates for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for General seats included Nasrullah Khan Wazir (Independent), Farhatullah Babar (PPPP), Hidayatullah Khan (ANP), Atta-ur-Rehman (JUI), Muhammad Tariq Khattak (JUI), Syed Shibli Faraz (PTI), Faisal Saleem Rehman (PTI), Mohsin Aziz (PTI), Abbas Afridi (PML-N), Zeeshan Khanzada (PTI), Dost Muhammad Khan (PTI), Najiullah Khattak (PTI), Muhammad Rizwan Khan (PTI), Hamid-ul-Haq (PTI), Atta-ur-Rehman (JI), Taj Muhammad Afridi (Independent), Shakeel Afridi (Independent), Meena Khan (PTI) and Liaqat Khan Tarakai (PTI). Validly nominated candidates for two Women seats in KP included Naeema Kishwar Khan (JUI), Sania Nishter (PTI), Tasleem Begum (ANP), Farah Khan (PML-N), Farzana Javed, Shahzia Tehmas Khan (PPPP), Falak Naz (PTI), Inayat Begum (JUI) and Musarat Jabeen (Independent) while validly candidates for two seats of Technocrats including Ulema included Farhatullah Babar (PPPP), Hamid-ul-Haq, Muhammad Hamayun Mohmand, Dost Muhammad Khan (PTI), Muhammad Iqbal Khalil (JUI), Shaukat Jamal Amirzadah (Independent), Dilroze Khan (PTI) and Muhammad Ali Khan Saif (Independent). Validly nominated candidates in KP for one Non-Muslim seat included Ranjeet Singh (JUI), Gurdeep Singh (PTI), Araish Kumar (PTI), Asif Bhatti (ANP) and Javed Gill (JUI).
The validly nominated candidates for seven General seats in Balochistan included Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti (BAP, Sitara Ayaz (BAP), Molana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri (JUIP), Khalil Ahmed Buledi (JUIP), Muhammad Qasim (BNP), Umer Farooq (ANP), Abdul Khaliq Khaq (BAP), Mir Israrullah Khan Zehri (BNP-Awami), Muhammad Sajid Tareen (BNP-Mengal), Manzoor Ahmed (PTI), Auranzeb (BAP), Mir Sardar Khan Rind (Independent), Syed Zahoor Ahmed (PTI), Muhammad Abdul Qadir (Independent), Prince Ahmed Umer Ahmedzai (BAP), Muhammad Jawad (JWP), Usman Khan Kakar (PKMAP) and Hussain Baloch (BNP). Nine validly nominated candidates for two Women seats included Bineesh Sikandar Masih (ANP), Atifa (HDP), Naseema Ehsan (PNP), Samina Mumtaz (BAP), Kashfi Gichki (BAP), Shania Khan (BAP), Shumaila Afsheen (BNP-Mengal), Asia Nasir (JUIP) and Tahira R.K. Jattak (BNP-Mengal). Four validly nominated candidates for two seats for Technocrats including Ulema included Kamran Murtaza (JUIP), Muhammad Sajid Tareen (BNP-Mengal), Naveed Jan Baloch and Saeed Ahmed Hashmi (BAP). Five validly nominated candidates for one Non-Muslim seat included Heman Dass (JUIP), Danesh Kumar (BAP), Bineesh Sikandar Masih (ANP), Sunil Kumar (BNP) and Khalil (BAP).
