Election Commission Of Pakistan Rebutts PML-N Modified Ballot Box Allegations

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Punjab has rejected PML-N allegations regarding the use of modified ballot-boxes during the PP-168 by-polls.
Denying the PML-N claims, Provincial ECP spokesperson Huda Ali Gohar told APP on Friday that the allegations were baseless and concocted. She said the same ballot boxes were used by the ECP for PP 168 by polls which were used during the General elections 2018, all previous by-polls in the province and the Local Government Elections 2015, adding that PML-N allegations were an attempt to render, the transparency and fairness of the polls controversial.
Earlier, PML-N Senior Vice President Punjab Malik Nadeem Kamran had alleged that modified ballot boxes with a wider ballot- slit were used at polling stations 69, 60, 70 (City District Primary school Makhdoomabad Lahore by the ECP.
The provincial ECP also issued images of the ballot boxes used at polling stations 60,69 and 70 during the PP-168 by-polls.
