Election Commission To Complete First Phase Of General Election 2018

Election Commissioner Balochistan Niaz Ahmad Baloch on Tuesday said like other provinces, the first phase of general election 2018, comprising of nomination paper submission and scrutiny procedures would accomplished in Balochistan also today.

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :Election Commissioner Balochistan Niaz Ahmad Baloch on Tuesday said like other provinces, the first phase of general election 2018, comprising of nomination paper submission and scrutiny procedures would accomplished in Balochistan also today.

He said that the scrutiny process was started on 12 June and today is its last date.

Total 435 nomination papers were collected for 16 National Assembly seats in Balochistan.

While 1400 nomination papers were collected for 51 Constituencies of the Provincial Assembly.

208 nomination forms were submitted for the reserved seats of women and minority in the provincial and national assembly in Balochistan.

Election commission received 36 nomination papers for 4 reserved seats of women in National assembly and 116 for the 11 reserved seats of women in provincial assembly. And 56 nomination forms were collected for the 3 seats reserved for the minorities in the provincial assembly Election Commission would complete the process of scrutiny for all these submitted nomination papers by today according to the new schedule.

The list of candidates will also be issued today.
