Says some of the ministers can be of PTI
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th May, 2018) Veteran politician and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Javed Hashmi while talking on a tv program has said that elections will be held on time.
Although electables are joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the prime minister would not be elected from the party, he said, and added, however, some of the ministers can be of PTI.
Talking about elections, Hashmi said that elections will definitely be held as they have fought that battle. “My battle was that elections should be held in the country. We fought a war that parliament completes its tenure and the next elections are held on time.”
He said that these battles were fought so other people’s dream to form a government like their own are not fulfilled.
Javed Hashmi recently announced joining the PMLN in the public meeting held by the party in Multan.
Many politicians have been quitting the party and joining PTI recently. Political analysts say that the bandwagoning suggests that the PTI is going to get a majority in the upcoming general elections of 2018. Not only from PMLN but politicians belonging to other parties, including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have also joined PTI in the recent past. Among these politicians are PPP’s Babar Awan, Firdous Ashiq Awan and Nadeem Afzal Chan.
Moreover, party leaders are also sceptical of Nawaz Sharif’s anti-judiciary and anti-establishment narrative. The recent statement by Nawaz over the Mumbai attacks have also led to further differences within the party.
