Electricity Of Defaulters In SEPCO To Be Restored On Payment Of Dues

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2019 ) :On the directives of Minister for Power Division Omar Ayub Khan and Federal Secretary Irfan Ali, one window operation has been launched to restore power supply to defaulters to Sukkur Electric Supply Company (SEPCO).
Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) has constituted five special teams to restore electricity to defaulters in Sukkur Electric Supply Company, said a statement issue here Thursday.
The teams would visit various areas and villages and restore electricity. Staff of relevant circles and representatives of banks would accompany the PEPCO teams to facilitate the consumers in payment of their dues.
The teams would stay in the areas for two days and the people would be informed through loudspeakers about the drive.
Cooperation of elders of the areas would also be sought to encourage the defaulters to pay their bills.
The teams had been empowered to give new connections on easy installments, Consumers would also be given facility to pay theirs previous bills in installments.
On 30 per cent payment, electricity would be restored to the areas immediately.
It is pertinent to mention here it would be one window operation and the consumers would not need to leave their areas. In charge of every team will send a weekly report to PEPCO which would deliver it to the Power Division.
