The price of furnace oil produced domestically increased from 38 thousand 500 to 42 thousand 200 to 37 thousand per ton, while imported furnace oil rates have reached Rs 1,700 per ton. Experts estimated the cost of the power unit from furnace oil in May was Rs 6, if retained, if the proportion of electricity generated from furnace oil in the production of electricity remained same then the per unit rate of electricity will be increased for the public.
