KARACHI/LAHORE (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 23rd February, 2019) Engro Foods Limited is one of the key sponsor &exhibitionist at the International Buffalo Congress (IBC) 2019 that is happening today and tomorrow, 19th of February at Pearl Continental in Lahore.This event was inaugurated by Sardar Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister and organized by the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in Lahore that works towards showcasing the milk and meat potential of buffalo, nationally and internationally.Engro Foods is a purpose-driven enterprise, providing the growing population with the right nutrients in a sustainable way is one of the key challenges for the coming decades.
Engro Foods offers trustworthy, safe and nourishing dairy products, that will contribute to food and nutrient security of millions of Pakistanis.Being an active player in the dairy and farming sector EFL participated to exchange information that can ultimately equip farmers with best dairy farming practices, increase productivity and create a sustainable livelihood.
Engro Foods also exhibited its �Grass to Glass� concept at the exhibition that aims to maintain transparency of EFL�s supply chain ensuring safe, nutritious, pure milk reaches the consumer.
Dr Muhammad Nasir, Senior Manager Scientific & Regulatory Affairs represented Engro Foods at IBC 2019.
Among other participants were Ministers of Livestock, Agriculture and Women Development along with 750 Scientists including 50+ global well known Buffalo experts. Everyone involved, including Usman Buzdar and Ministers vowed to help the sector tremendously as per the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan.As a landmark development, UVAS in collaboration with International Buffalo Federation and Punjab Government holds this event in Lahore because of its rich history and Lahore being, the cultural hub and provincial metropolis of agriculture.
The core objective of the Congress is to review and update the work in the thematic areas of nutrition, reproduction, genetics, management, health, and socio-economics while leading companies working in these areas participate to gain more understanding. NNI
