ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -29th Sep,2016) : Recognizing the role of European Union as the flag bearer of human rights, the special envoys of Pakistan on Thursday urged parliamentarians and high officials of Belgium as well as European Union to fulfil their commitment towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir under the UNSC resolutions.
The Prime Minister's special envoys, MNAs Ijaz ul Haq and Malik Uzair Khan, who are currently visiting Belgium to highlight the grave human rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir at the EU institutions, think tanks and media, a message received here said.
They briefed parliamentarians and high officials of Belgium as well as European Union about the ever deteriorating condition of human rights in Indian occupied Kashmir resulting in over 100 deaths and 8000 serious injuries due to inhuman use of pallet guns.
The envoys stressed that the international community must call on the Indian government to honour its human rights obligations and allow international humanitarian organizations and medical aid to enter IOK to help the people suffering from recent brutalities.
