MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Sep, 2016 ) : Former Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore was arrested here on Friday by Police after his interim bail was canceled by the special terrorism court.
Rathore was booked by police in an assassination attempt on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader and present Minister Communication Chaudhary Muhammad Aziz during election campaign in July this year but had got interim bail from the High Court along with his other colleagues.
A special Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) canceled the interim bail of four accused including Rathore and he was arrested from the court room.
Later, they were shifted Plundari as the cases under Anti Terrorism Act (ATA) were being investigated by the Superintendent Police (SP) of the area.
However, the bail of a accomplice Khawaja Tariq Saeed was confirmed by the court who later, condemned the arrest of Rathore and threatened to hold peotest in Haveeli district. Talking to media after bail, he said they were falsely nominated in the FIR in a firing case and were being politically victimized as they were not present at the site where Ch. Aziz was attacked.
