Expatriate Pakistanis Asked To Get Themselves Registered For Casting Vote In Bye Polls

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed the overseas Pakistanis, hailing from Lahore to register themselves online by logging in the designated website for casting votes in forthcoming by elections.
The by-election of Punjab Assembly constituency PP-168 would be held next month. The seat was vacated by Khawaja Saad Rafique on electing MNA from Lahore.
According to the ECP, only registered voters would cast their vote in the by election in constituency PP-168 through i-voting system. On polling day, overseas Pakistanis would log on to the website and enter their secret voter IDs, which will be communicated to overseas voters on polling day.
The voters have to log in and press the submit vote button. The voters can cast their votes from 8 am to 5 pm as per the Pakistani standard time.
The voter would submit their personal information including NICOP number, email address, name of residing countryand their mobile number. The voter will receive a pin code at his email address through online voting system after which the voter will click on the confirmation message and cast his vote.
