Faisalabad District Bar Association Delegation Calls On Deputy Commissioner, Rues Wednesday Incident

A four-member delegation of District Bar Association (DBA) called on Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar at his office, here on Friday.

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) :A four-member delegation of District Bar Association (DBA) called on Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar at his office, here on Friday.

The delegation consisted of senior lawyers including DBA President Amjad Hussain Malik, Punjab Bar Council Members Jawed Iqbal Awan, Changaiz Khan Kakar and Muhammad Akram Khaksar.

Divisional Commissioner Asif Iqbal, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar and City Police Officer (CPO) Ashfaq Ahmad Khan were also present.

The delegation regretted over unhappy incident taking place on Wednesday when a group of lawyers made their forced entry into the DC Office and disturbed the on-going meeting with the DC in the chair.

The delegation members said that they did not support junior lawyers' unwarranted action. The lawyers said that they believed in peaceful solution to the outstanding issues through negotiation.

They pledged that the DBA strike in future would remain peaceful and the legal fraternity will continue their struggle for fulfilling their demand for establishment of a Lahore High Court Bench at Faisalabad.

The delegation thanked the Commissioner Asif Iqbal Ch and Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar for giving due regards to lawyer community and hoped that they would strongly recommend to the Punjab government and other relevant authorities with regard to establishment of an LHC bench in Faisalabad.
