Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla on Tuesday met the families of children, who were martyred in the terrorism attack on the Army Public School, Peshawar on December 16, 2014, here at Parliament House
The families said that the promises made by the Federal and provincial governments needed to be fulfilled and addressed in a just manner.
They said 71 families were such who had just one son, who lost life to that act of terrorism, and appealed to the government that a plan to support parents of all such students should be formulated.
Saleem Mandviwalla assured the families of his support and said that he would do all in his power to resolve the issue. However, he said since he was not part of the executive he would require time to evaluate the matter.
Senator Bahramand Tangi, who facilitated the visit and was present in the meeting, assured the families that the Deputy Chairman understood their pain and would support them for resolution of their issues.
