Farmers Urged To Consult Agricultural Experts About Balanced Use Of Fertilizers

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Oct, 2018 ) :The Zonal Manager of Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) Suhail Afzal Kayani has advised the farmers to consult agricultural experts to ensure balanced use of fertilizer on the crops.
Speaking at a seminar on Wednesday, Kayani elaborated on the types of fertilizer which he said were essential to ensure better agricultural production.
He said the FFC was making sure that its dealers across the country timely supplied fertilizer to the farmers.
"The company is maintaining international standard in its products so that farmers can benefit from high quality fertilizer," he said.
Zahoor Ahmed Khan, Regional Manager FFC, told that the seminar was organized to educate the farmers about balanced use of fertilizer in view of the ever increasing usage of fertilizer in agriculture.
He explained how the adequate use of fertilizer could bring out optimal yield from the crops.
Manager FFC Abdul Jaleel Jarwar asked the farmers to get benefit from the company's consultancy services about soil testing and water usage.
He said selection of land, land leveling, healthy seeds and timely cultivation were among the essential measures required for quality crop production.
The FFC's agricultural expert Muhammad Tayab advised the farmers to essentially use DAP and Ponash along with urea fertilizer.
According to him, both the DAP and specially Ponash helped increase the growth of vegetables.
He emphasized on the need of soil testing prior to sowing seeds of the crops and applying fertilizer, telling the farmers that the FFC provided free consultation service in that regard.
Another expert from the FFC Noman Ali Tahir dwelt at length about turning the salinity affected land cultivable with the help of gypsum.
