Farrukh Habib terms current economic crisis aftershocks of previous govt policies, corruption

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader and Parliamentary Secretary for Railways MNA Farrukh Habib on Wednesday termed current economic crisis aftershocks of the previous government's policies and corruption.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Oct, 2018 ) :Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader and Parliamentary Secretary for Railways MNA Farrukh Habib on Wednesday termed current economic crisis aftershocks of the previous government's policies and corruption.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said that the previous government is responsible for the economic crisis in the country. He said that accountability is essential to know the root causes of economic crisis in the country. He said that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are afraid of the accountability process. He said that earlier both the opposition parties were against each others but after listening of investigation into the corruption scams, they started depending on each others. He said that institutions can not be pressurized.

Farrukh Habib said that the people of Pakistan elected PTI against the previous government's policies.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is sincerely working on the reforms agenda of all the institutions in the country. He expressed the hope that remittances would be increased due to the incentives announced by the government for the overseas Pakistanis. He said that investment also increase in the country which would bring economic stability in the country.

He said that on the requisition of the Opposition, the government has issued Production Orders of Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif, adding that the Opposition need to be thankful to the government for issuing Production Orders. However, he said that due to Ashiana Scam, the government has lost billions of rupees. The contract was given on the basis of nepotism in the Ashiana project instead of merit, he said.
