Fawad Lambastes PPP, PML-N Leaders Performance

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Nov, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Wednesday lambasted the performance of Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz governments.
Talking to a private news channel, the minister expressed serious concerns over the performance of the last governments of PPP and PML-N.
He said the leaders of the past governments were involved in corrupt practices and added that opposition leader Khurshid Shah, during the PPP's tenure, had provided the jobs to thousands of people in various departments, many of whom don't even bother to attend the offices.
Commenting on Pervaiz Ellahi, he said according to my information, there was no NAB reference against him.
He said audit of the previous governments of Nawaz Sharif had been executed. If Shehbaz Sharif was appointed as Chairman PAC then how could it be possible to audit the projects of Nawaz Sharif's government, he added.
He, however, offered that the opposition could do audit of our projects.
Replying to a question, he said as far as Yemen conflict was concerned, the matter had been discussed by the government with Saudi Arabia and Iran.
He said the role of Pakistan was pivotal in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as Pakistan was playing a balanced role in that regard.
To a question about the relations with US, Fawad said after the visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the relations with America were heading towards betterment.
He said the matter of Afia Siddiqui was complicated and the government wanted to address the issue in best possible manner.
To another question regarding Asia Bibi's blasphemy case, he said a review petition was under process in the apex court in that regard.
The minister said her name was not in the ECL, however, the government would follow the court's orders regarding Asia Bibi.
